Default Audi A6 Rim Fitment Issues...Please Help

Hi my name is Jason Martuscello and I am new to this forum and in seek of help! I have a 2001 Audi A6 2.7T which i got this summer...I recently purchased rims for the car off ebay...They are custom made to order forged aluminum CCW 19" wheels. (245/40/19 tires) They were previously on an A4. I am having mounting problems due to the oversized brakes upfront. I understand spacers will be needed in order to gain clearance from the brakes but I not sure with to what size without having rubbing issues. I am not to sure of the offset of the rims which I know will be a big factor in determining this but if someone could help me find this out that would be great.

I mounted the rear rims and tires on the car without any problems but when mounted they are seem to fit perfect under the wheel well...

I have contacted many tire/wheel places in my area and none seem to know much or deal with spacers. (Albany, NY area)

I have pictures I will upload of the rears on the car once I get an opportunity...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

well, are you sure, there is problem with clearance from brakes ???
I have had similar problem and find out after year, that was not break clearance, but bolts was longer about 1/8
So until now i was using spacer, but with rubbing sometimes
Now i cut bolts abot 1/4 of inch and spacers are not necessary anymore

I got 1/4 spacers in my trunk now heheh.
I'll go Albany, maybe this or next week and can give it to you

If the rims were truly custom-made and sized right, you should not need spacers. I had a set of SSRs that came with my car, upgraded last summer to Velocity RS4 replicas. Neither one needed spacers. I did order a set of locking lugbolts which, when installed, would not allow the wheel to turn. They were about 1/4-3/8" longer than stock. I'm too lazy to cut them down and re-thread them (which I expect to be a long, ugly, manual job since I have no access to a machine shop). I take it that the rims are stopping before they are all the way on the rotor because they are contacting the brake assembly?

Default 19 inch A8 wheels on 2004 A6

Hey so Im new to this forum and i have a 2004 a6 2.7 S line. I just bought the a8 19 inch wheels and had the same problem. I got the rear ones on just fine, but the front ones were not successful. Will Wheel spacers help me? My stock 17s fit underneath the strut i believe... the 19 inch will not fit underneath it and I was hoping spacers would solve this.

Any input is appreciated......thanks

if you're having trouble clearing suspension components then you will need spacers.
