Default Possible Fitment Issues

Sorry for yet another fitment question but as I have little experience I figured it it is safer to ask then to guess. So yesterday I finally picked up a set of Audi titanium edition rims in 18x8 et43 with a spare set of 225/40/r18 tires. My question is will these fit under a B5 with sport suspension and if not what size of spacer and length of lug bolt will I need to use.

I think it should fit just fine. You might be cutting it close to the inner side tho.

Well I guess I should just go and brave the cold to see if they fit. Unfortunately I just lost my garage spot for the night.

I think you'll be very close to hitting the upright in the rear. You may need some 5mm spacers.

Well with the 215/35's they fit and clear just fine but I hate the amount of stretch especially when I'm at stock ride height and not going for flush. I guess I will just have to test fit again when I get the other tires mounted.

Fun fact; the rims fit with 225/40/R18's without spacers. They clear the uprights with about a finger width of space.
