Default Audi brake system question

so I have been having problems with my brakes, I noticed my line coming into my front caliper was not tightened down completely. dont know how it happened, but some air has gotten into the system and I cant seem to bleed this out. I have heard you have to hook something up to the ABS computer to bleed brakes, is this true??

Default RE: Audi brake system question

There are quite a few posts on this so if you do a search on bleeding brakes it should come up with some good info. when I first got my a6 I thought the brakes were very mushy so I looked in to bleeding the system, it turns out that some versions depending on the year and type of anti lock/ stability control do require the vag cable/program to activate the anti-locks for a certain period of time but there are other models that do not require that. You will need to get a service manual for your specific model and year to get the details. I purchased the Bentleyprogram on line and thats where I finally got the detailed information.
