Default Audi a3 brake failure system warning light

hi all first post and im after a bit of help please.

my audi a3 1.8t brake system failure warning light has appeared on my dash but my brakes are working perfectly fine.

its the second time in a week this has happened, the first time it came on my battery light came on. i gave the battery a charge and called the aa out(it didnt take the charge well, bad cell i guess). the warning light went after a charge but the battery went dead again a week later. the alternator is working fine just not when stationary, it needs a rev to get it going. after replacing with a new battery today the alternator works fine and charges/stays at 14.48 volts, but this light is back on.

im not convinced theres something wrong with the brakes. any help would be appreciated before i give up with it and send it to the garages for big expense.
