Well I've got the 2000 Avant but I think they work the same. Mine work when you hold the windshield washers for 3-5 seconds. I've only seen them come on when its cold out though (snowflake on the center display). I think that because they are heated, the sole purpose is to remove ice and snow from the headlights. Therefore they don't come on when its warm out.

The manual says as long as the car is in drive the headlight washer will activate with the windshield washer.

just turn the headlights on and spray as usual~ not sure if theres soemthing to do with temperture through...although i don't think it only come on when it's cold..I'm mean theres other situations that you need to wash ur headlights...maybe you were driving on a muddy road...who knows~ I used to have this question...then i google it and found out i need to turn my headlights on first~ hope it helps~

Definitely have to have the headlights on. Just about every car that has washers for the headlights makes it a requirement.

Just have the headlights on and spray as usual, they will come up and wash the headlights but they'll probably do so with a slight stagger (one after the other) and thats normal so you don't fully lose your lights if you're driving at the time.

If you have the cold weather package I think they may be heated but IDK for sure.

I wish mine would F*$@ing work!!

I think my car had a slight accident that got hit on the side of the front bumper and I can hear them work but they just don't pop up.[sm=smiley13.gif]
