Audi Navigation?

RE: Audi Navigation?
CD vs. DVD depends on the year. What year is your car? Alternatively, you can tell by where the Nav info displays. Is it in the center of the dash console (text only) or where the radio is (graphic display).
Either way, it is unlikely you'll be able to download and burn a disk (could be wrong here -- you may want to page a guy named TeddyBGame on the "Electronics" forum -- he's the guru on this stuff). Check the forums/eBay to buy the disks. The more up to date it is, the more accurate it will be.
Good luck.

I have a 2005 A6 and updated the Nav DVD through this website http://www.navteq.com/ProductFinder?...continentId=NA. It works great.

RE: Audi Navigation?
nik,
chances are you have a C-navi drive in your trunk.
C-navi = for C5 A6 from 1999-2001
D-navi = for C5 A6 from 2001-2004 (some overlap in 2001)
You can get a C-navi disk on ebay for $50 or less. A mercedes benz or blaupunkt travelpilot disk will work as well. See also the CD-based section in www.navplus.us for some additional information.
Good luck!
