not really, I have a regularlowly non s line 2004 A6 and my code was 010002 changed to 01032 now.

TRAPPED, yes the tranny keeps you fomr exploting allthe power. So get the VAST tip chip and yo'll see a big diffe.

Also the tip is tricky to launch well.. accelerate/break, and when you get to boost, release brake and it'll launch much harder..just keep it for special occations not recommended too often and DO MAKE sure to turn off ESP

 

o i heard it was for cars with the paddle shifting because if you use the 010 format you can switch to tiptronic by merely pressing the paddle shifters and then it will automatically go back to regular drive mode after 30 seconds i think??

and yes me and gigi have the stage 3 file from vast for our tips and it is a night and day noticable diff... def worth the 300 bucks

 

I gotta do another 0-60mph to see the diff.. am curious on the 60 ft too.

 

I dont have ESP because I'm an 00... I see what your saying about this tip chip business I am very curious in the 0-60 diffrence! Also though I am thinking of switching sooner than I had thought. I may get a nice b5 s4! Sad to say, but I just don't need the size. A highly modded A6 or aniceS4? I hate throwing money into a tip!
