backup sensor problem

anyone any ideea about what can be wrong with the backup sensors just made a highly pitch noise and it stoped working .no more sound.A6 4.2?thanks

my mistake it's an 2000 how fo you reset the distance setiings? i think is something wrong with the soundspeaker or something
