Default Beeping while starting

Ok..this is the third time it has happend in a few months. But, sometimes when I start the car, right when its about to crank, I get the beeping noise identical to the seatbelt one. I just want to know why its doing it and is it something serious? It does it only when its cold out and it hasnt been started in over 8 hours.

Could it be something with the battery?

it's not a beep like the high pitched beep when you get low on fuel or any other type of idiot light flips on in the dash is it? or is it just the dinging sound like when the door's open and the car's running?

if it's the loud high-pitched one, and it beeps three times after you start, i'd guess the abs control module might be going bad.

Its just a solid beep, same tone as the open door, but a long one that goes off after the engine starts.

It could be because the Speed Warning is Set on the Driver Informaiton Center on the Dash between the RPM's and the MPH.To view the speed limit currently set press the test button breifly with the ignition off. The milegage recorder display will light up. Press the test button again and hold for at leats 2 seconds. The speed limit currently set appears in the display. To Cancel the speed limit warning, press the test button beifly with the inigition switched off. The display will light up. Press the test button again for at least 2 seconds. The display will shwo the speed limit set. Now press and hold the "Reset" button for the trip computer until the crossed-out warning symbol appears.Reset the control system on the dash.

This happened once to my car, and it drove me nuts. Finally I figured it out.

Also, It could be because you are low on wind shield wiper fluid, oil, etc...- Let me know
