i have a audi 01 a6 4.2l v8 and i have huge oil leak like the whole bottom of my car its just oil and im wondering if u guys might know where that could be from cause dealership said its a cam seal but no body can reallytell its so much oil! thanks anybody that can help!

 

clean off all of the oil and dry the engine/underbody of the car very well.

Take the car for a good run, and then come back and start looking for the oil leak.

no one is goingto be able to help you unless you tell them where the oil is coming from.

 

it's either 1. cam seals leaking
2. valve cover gaskets leaking
3. cam tensioner seals leaking
4. all of thee above

being that you see it on your bottom engine cover, it's probably been going on awhile. take off the vanity covers on the engine and shine a light all down in there. you can probably spot the source. also, alot of these leaks are caused by a clogged breather hose.
