Default bov or dv for A6 (2000)

Ok, so... I was thinking today, I love the sound of the turbo spool, BUT I would love it even more if I could actually hear the "pshoooooosh" sound... I barely hear it, and it kinda bothers me. I don't wanna spend a ton of money, but I want more sound, I would really, really like to hear it. I think its one of the best sounds a car can make.

Soooo... Anyone ever put an aftermarket DV or BOV on a 2000 A6? If so, which do you recommend, and what am I looking for price ranges? I've seen some BOVs for like 400$ (and that's just for 1) wtf, that's completely outragous.

And has anyone had luck with Borla mufflers? I was think about doing a CAT back with Borla muffs, revoming resanators (possibly cats too, or just putting high flows), and Piggie DPs (the APR are way to over priced).

Any other ideas, thoughts, comments and such would be appreciated.

Thanks!

King

Bov's are not designed for our cars. Search this topic in the search bar, it's been beaten to death.

Vast "piggies" are a must for these cars. You will deff. be able to hear the turbos spool with these. When I had them with stock exhaust I noticted a significant difference. Mad power in the lower range and the turbos started to sing loudly. Very sweet!
Not only is this a performace must but also, preventive measure to ensure the longivity of the turbos.

Yes, definitely change them. Like I said I have the 710N Dv's from the TT. Its an upgrade from our stock ones. Check out

If you start to mods check out the The Forge 007 (you will need two) they are filthy! Completely serviceable and will last the life of the car. Never heard of any complaints.

if you want the sound im running forge splitters on stock power you will have to bring it up to about 5000rpm to hear the whoosh but if you are chipped i can hear mine at about 3500-4000rpm

they are about 150 a piece and totally worth it
