Default Brake Light Switch Replacement, HELP!

OK, I've done some searching here on the forums and I've found that the brake light switch is going bad on my 97 a6 automaticwagon. I'm having trouble shifting it out of park sometimes. I was wondering if anyone knew what was involved with replacing this switch and if anyone had the bentley manual pages that would show the breakdown of what needed to be removed to get at the switch. I can't imagine this being too hard, and I definitely can't see paying someone else to do the work. Any help you guys could give me on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Remove the black plastic kick panel under the dash. Up behind the brake pedal, you'll see a white plastic plunger attached to a metal brace, and connected to a wiring harness. Unplug the harness and twist the plunger free.
You can get a new one at http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...engine=V6+2.8L
Just check if you have a 2-pin or 4-pin.

Both the two and four pin are there, any idea which controls the shift lock and which controls the brake lights? Is one a momentary switch and one a push-on/push-off?

Nevermind I answered my own question, the two wire is to disengage the cruise control, the four wire is the actual brake light switch.
