Default Brake Lights not working

Well my brake light switch isn't working, but I thought that this leads to the brake lights always being on.

Otherwise, my brake light fuse is alright.

Is it the brake light switch?

I don't remember when it started doing this, apparently it's been a while

The brake light switch can cause either the lights to stay on all the time, or to not come on any of the time.
When you install the new switch make sure the lights aren't staying on or anything, if its not working correctly, take the switch back out, pull out the thimble all the way and re-install it until it works.

buyt a couple of extra switches, they are known to break during install...
Did mine a few months back... BTW, when min went bad, lights staid on, even with car off and locked!!! Also experiences loss of acceleration at times.
Was weird... I almost panicked at first then I found out it was only a $4 part

Well my car has a lack of throttle response/boost at times, or the boost comes in really late. Could the brake light switch explain it?
