Default Brake and Powersteering fluids... so lost!

Sorry if this is a repeat, but in searching the posts here, I've only gotten more confused...!

I need to add some brake fluid to my 1999 A6 Avant. Green cap on the res. It says "Use Mineral Only".

In doing my searches, I see that I:

1-Can use Dot 4 (but not Dot 5) instead.
2-Or use GOO2000.
3-But don't use GOO2000 since G4000 is newer.
4-Use CHF-11S
5-Use Pentosin 11S

So so so lost...

I would like to know what I need to buy (and from where) for my brake fluid. And does it really also top off the PS res?

Thanks!

p.s. The OEM Porsche PS fluid for my Porsche 996 is Pentosin CHF 11S...

Power steering uses G4000 now, but G2000 can be used in a 98 Audi, but G4000 is preferred. Don't ask me why.

DOT 4 is fine for the brake system.

Are you sure you're looking at the right thing?

The one with the green cap IS the power steering fluid reservoir.

The brake fluid reservoir is up near the windshield, to the right of the battery(when looking at the car from the front), should be a yellow cap.

Yeah, I had too many caps on my brain! Yep, I meant the PS res. Found the CHF stuff at O'Reilly and grabbed some Dot 4 at the same time. Thanks all!
