Broken windshield
My A6 is only a week old and it alreasy have a broken windshield I heard a pop on the highway, it wasnt very load, but the rock left a star and a round crack around it. These Audi windshields are way too soft, is it true that Audi use recycle glass?

um, i have to disagree with the glass being "soft":

All windshields will crack if a big enough rock hits them or if the rock is traveling fast enough (simple physics), just make sure to get it treated right away to prevent it from cracking more (take it to a shop - they'll know). Don't start accusing Audi when it's not even necessarily true.

I go through a windshield every two years, no matter what the car. SOmething about that "fast enough" thing.....
I HAVE found that Audi's paint on the front of the car has held up amazingly well!

119k miles and no breaks yet. But in the sunlight, you can see all the shallow chips. It's a fact of life when you put a lot of highway miles on a vehicle. I have two chips that are almost deep enough to go get filled, but they are not all the way through.
I took a big rock chip in my Vue back in 2003 and had it "patched" rather than replace the windshield. You have to do this before it spider webs. It's a clear glue that fills the hole and theoretically prevents it from cracking. The VUE is still on the road at 162k miles and no cracking yet.
The best avoidance tactic is to not tailgate, especially trucks. Cars will whip small rocks at you but if a truck picks up a small boulder or chunk of metal between the rear tires, it can do major damage.

Regardless of the cause of your windshield crack, contact your insurance company...in MA we have $0 deductible glass coverage, so no $ out of my pocket. I also reached out to the regional forum for recommendations for glass shops to do the work (dealers typically farm it out to independent shops, maybe find out who they use?)
The A6 glass replacement ca be tricky, and if the shop does not know what they are doing, you could end up with leaks.

After doing some research on Audi world, there are a whole bunch of complains about those soft OEM Audi windshields. I guess the compromise here is that soft windshields will chip and pit easily and the harder windshields will crack easlier.
I am in MA too, I just replace the OEM with a PPG windshield which some Audi owner have claim to be better than the Audi windshield. BTW, JN Phillips did a great job on the trims and the rain sensor.
