So, I have my cams out and i need to remove the metal wheel that the Cam position sensor reads, anyone know how? And how to make sure it goes back on in the potion?

Thanks!

You should list what yr model you have, or maybe just post a pic illustrating what "wheel" you're talking about.

Cam Psotioon trigger
It is an 2001 A6 2.8, but all Audi's with cam sensors will have the same part. it is actually the Cam positioning sensor trigger plate. It is the part that is attached to the cam that the sensor reads to determine its position of the cam. I marked it with with a marker and removed it as it needs to be removed to replace the rear cam seal that precedes it. I did not need to mark it as there is a little tough that fits in a grove in the cam that lines it up. The question I have not is what its the torq spec to the bolt that holds it on the cam?

Is this what you're talking about?

"CMP Sensor Plate - 15 ft lb"
The two bolts holding the sensor itself - 7 ft lb
