crank shaft sensor
why did you buy a replacement? Did you get a cel? All that sensor is, is a magnet its incredibly rare for it to go bad or break on any vehicle. Chances are you got a problem with your timing belt..it may have stretched or something tensoner gone bad....Why do you think its the sensor?
that sounds like your correct it is the sensor thats just extremly rare...but does happen i guess
the crank position sensor is heat sensitive when the engine is warm or hot it can malfunction and causes the engine to stall, after it cools for 10 min, it can start again. The problem is is heats up and oil contaminates the sensor and it loses its reading off of the teeth on the flywheel. Replace the sensor but also make sure you fix any oil leaks in that area so it doesn't happen again.
thats the most likely explanation... but yes you are correct its deff your sensor im 99% sure
but to be 100% id check the following:
1) make sure you are getting spark in all 4 cylinders (maybe bad coilpack)
Edit: To answer your original question
The crank sensor is located on the front of the engine to the right of the oil fiter when standing looking down at the car. Looks like a knock sensor.
