can i use any c5 headlamps on any year c5?

can i use any c5 headlamps on any year c5?

i just wanna know, cuz i want some lights but it says from 02-04

02-04 lights fit only the facelift C5 A6, you need to look for pre-facelift to fit your 99

what do u mean by facelift? like what makes it different? bumper/fender/hood?

Mostly hood and headlights are different, but the bumper and hood catch may be as well. Also the 4.2 headlights (from what I understand) are slightly different than the 2.8/3.0/2.7t.
