Avants with the rear airbags? I.e. is the rear shock a separate piece or integral with the bag? I'm looking to replace those shocks if they do exist. Too soft for my taste, or perhaps worn out.

It's a 2001 4.2 Quattro Avant (A6). I found out from the dealer today that the rear airbag cars have NO shocks. I wonder if I can add a shock using the unused shock mounts...assuming the airbag goes where the spring normally would. I'm gonna look around there this weekend.
