Default Can you ID this part?

I recently had both half axles in my 02 A6 Quattro replaced. I noticed today that the front left of the vehicle was shaking a bit after when I decelerated.

I drove home and then cranked my wheels to the right to take a look at the axels and found this thingy unhooked.

It looks like it latches around some how. This sounds dumb but should it be hooked up?

I apologize for the bad phone camera.

Default Hi

The pic is of your load level sensor. It measures the weight load in your car to assist in the proper aiming of your headlights. The the plastic arm attached to the lower part of the sensor should be connected to the front lower control arm by a metal clip.

The clip looks like it was just unclipped. try clipping it back together.
