Question Carbon Fibre Items

Hi All

Firstly please note that this is market research only - I'm not attempting to sell anything now or advertise my company, I work with a lot of forums and I don't try to advertise without first paying what's due.

I am looking into new markets for my Carbon Fibre product development company and I would like to ask your opinion on pieces for the A6? My thoughts come after going in my brothers 56 plate and thinking that there were a few black plastic interior trim panels thet would look great in carbon fibre - the ignition plate, centre consol switch surround and the roof switch panel centre panel specifically? I've searched the net but not found very much at all, is this because there genuinely isn't the need or have I missed the items that are already available?

Any feedback would be appreciated, I'm UK based but because these items would be quite small the shipping to the US would be much less than the large items I already ship.

Thanks very much
Adam

Thank you. I'd seen those products. I dont personally like the idea of wrapping original parts but there must be a market for it.

My experience has shown that people like to replace what was black and plastic as standard with Carbon Fibre so the overall look doesn't change too much, it just looks more special.

yeah for the most part its just oem rs4/6 pieces and hoods and trunks. if you could do a decently priced y-pipe for the 2.7tt engine you could get a lot of customers. rs4 size or larger! Loba does one but its crazy expensive. intercooler shrouds and intake heat shields are also carbon fiber products that are available but pricey. As for interior items; light bezels, door sills and those interior roof mounted grab handles would be cool in carbon.

Looked into the Y-Pipe, it does seem that there's a lot of interest in a more realistically priced version and I can almost guarantee I'd be under the market cost now. If the idea gathers much interest in here then will definately look to get a first batch produced. It depends if anybody else posts up really.

I will also be molding some interior items from OE parts soon

you should definitely post this up in the b5 s4 forum on here and on audizine.com, as well as the a6/s6 froum on there. on audizine you should get waaaaaaay more responses and feedback. Especially for the y-pipe. this site is close to a ghost town for enthusiasts.

no problem. there are other sites but audizine is the most popular. if you need any test subjects for anything, especially the y-pipe, i'd be more than happy to help!

good luck and if you need any other sites or other audi help i'm on here and audizine. keep me up to date with any carbon products you produce.
