Talking Cel

First I am a Noob so dont jump down my throat, second I did a search and could not find an exact answer. I have a 94 100 (A6) and my CEL started to flash at me tonight. first it was five times, and then it stopped for awhile then 9 times and again it stopped than 13 times and same thing and then back to 7. I am in Germany (military) and it is Euro spec. It has the 2.6 in it and would like to know if anyone has an idea as to why it would be in this pattern. I plan to get them read tomorrow but was just curious. Thanks.

First of all, as an American citizen...Thank You for your service.

Second, you're in the heart of the 'Father Land' and you can't find a fast answer?? (j/k)

But seriously...There are some ol' school, American Audi techs where I work and I'll inquire for you tomorrow. But the fact that it's a true domestic might be an issue.

OK so as weird as this may sound, the german mechanic did not know why it was flashing. There is no codes at all in the computer. Any help would be grateful!!

tido94100, Sorry to take so long to get back to you...does your 'euro-spec' 94 100 have an OBD port? My tech informs me that US spec 94 100s have an OBD port, which is how the codes are retrieved. He said if your CEL is blinking sporadically, it could be a misfire problem or possibly a cluster glitch...again, refering to US spec.

Here is a procedure for s cars. I would imagine it is similar with your 100.

Ok guys, first let me say thanks for all the research and help!!! After doing a little digging and going to Audi and spending 750.00 euros (1100 bucks) It turned out it was my brakes that needed to be done. So i got new brakes all the way around and cables and the whole nine yards!! Again thanks guys!
