Hey, where did you get the new one? Mine is broke and it'd be nice to replace it as well.

Here is a blowout of the design:

With the cupholder open you can see a little tab on each side near the front about a half inch down. Press the tab in on one side with a small flat screwdriver and lift that side up just enough so the tab stays depressed then push in the other tab and lift out the front end of the holder first. It should come right out then. It's tricky to get both tabs depressed - making a jig that could push both in together would simplify the job.

Somewhat on-topic, or in the vicinity...

Is there a light bulb under the shift **** that illuminates the gears-display cover plate? On every car I had so far was always able to see the gear selection when dusk/night and turning the lights on.
I mean I already got used to shifting "in the dark", yet it would be nice to know if it should have a bulb that maybe is burnt.
If it has one and is burnt, how does the cover plate come off?
Thanks.
