center resonator removal
Does anyone know if removing the resonator located slightly in front of the rear wheels is as easy as takin a saw and cutting on either side n then replacing it w pipe and flanges
basically i am asking is the resonator hung or is it just a free floating piece that will come off if i cut the pipes on both sides?? wanted to do this project tonight so if anyone knows please advise
i figured i'd have the car for a few more days and would like the exhaust to have a slightly deeper tone hahah

Don't take the resonator out. All it's going to do is make it loud. It doesn't sound good. I did it on my 92 Audi 100cs and it sounded like crap. All the resonator is is a glass pack. That's it. It's just going to quiet the high frequency tones, allowing the low frequency tones to remain, which really makes it sound better. Also, since it's pretty much a straight flow-through device, there are no performance gains to be had by removing it. Trust me.

Ok, removing the resonator is the the best thing you can do to enhance the sound of your exhaust on these cars. I have proof for you...
