Hi from the UK

My 2001 A6 Avant central locking has developed a mind of its own. The doors lock and unlock all of the time, the lights flash, the alarm has gone off a couple of times and the interior lock unlock doesn't work after starting up. I have checked out the forum and it would appear that you can hookup to a vag com and just reset if you are lucky, if not it could be a leaky pump or the central locking ecu. Could anybody advise me where the pump is and in a RHD car is the ecu under the drivers seat or passengers seat.
