Default Changing the cam chain tensioner gaskets?

New guy here so take it easy on me.

Here is my question. I have a 2001 Audi A6 2.7t. How hard is it to change the cam chain tensioner gaskets for a DIY guy? Is this something that is fairly easy, or is this something that should be left to a certified mechanic?

I am about to change it on my 2.8L 2001 A6 Avant in the next week or so. I ordered all the parts from here (middle package) has all the directions and photos

Audi Valve Cover Gasket Kit - Audi Cam Tensioner Gasket Replacement - Blauparts

Be ready for a 9 hour job - but is very dooable, but seriously consider doing your VCG as well which is included with the kit

Don't forget you will need the cam chain tensioner compression tool for the job. I don't think the kit comes with it, but I could be wrong.

I would give the job a 6 out of 10 on the pain in the *** scale. On the 2.7t I believe you will have to remove your passenger side kombi valve to get the valve cover off. At least I had to on my 2.7t. That took the longest out of anything else.

This isn't a tough job, just takes time and patience.
