Default Changing the color of my A6...

I know this is typically against EVERYTHING i've always heard but... I have a 2002 red A6 and was thinking of possibly trying to have it painted black. I've always heard you can't change the color of a car but has anyone had experience with this? If so, what were your results. Thanks

What quality of job are you looking for? Yes you can get your whole car painted for $500 to $600 at Maaco, but it will look like sh#t. Do you really want to drop $3K to $4K on a good quality job? If you are really serious, then I would sell the car and get a black one.

You know.... You're right. I think I was just afraid to admit it. I was hoping that maybe it would cost $600 but, like you said, it wouldn't be a quality job. I'll just have to learn to like the red. Thanks

Claybar it, touch up any chips, then put on a couple coats of good wax. It will look great and you'll love it.
