Are there any good European car events in Charlotte? I know there is some muscle car show right now at Lowe's Motor Speedway so it had me thinking. And I know AWE has a shop here also.

Not that I know of, but we could always get something cooked up in May if you want.

formulagigi lives in/near Charlotte and he has a friend with an A6 that he pals around with. I'm from Raleigh, but would gladly make a trip down if there is enough interest.

I just found out about the Thawout event and will be attending also. I just moved out here and am waiting to get my A6 2.7t back from GMP. Had them install my piggie pipes and shocks. I joing the carolinaeuros thing and only notice about 5 people or so who actively communicate and meet. They mostly have A4/S4's from the emails I see. Would love to get together with come C5 folks to some ideas on future mods/parts.

There are way more than 5... there is a small group who does hang out very often outside of the meet and they go out on saturdays. Some meets are in CLT, others in Columbia, CHarleston, Raleigh....
We have only 3 or 4 C5's I think.... but there lots of B5, B6 and 7, A3's,TTs, M3s, 335's, 330i's, Golf GTIs.... volvos... A nice 911 turbo chipped and exhaust... Variety of cars and people from different background, all ages...
We'll be at Thaw out...
One of my buddies had the same cars I own a 2004 A6 2.7T and a jeep Wrangler TJ. We've worked together for 8 years. Sometimes we go for rides in the blue ridge with a few other cars. Last time we went the two of us and had a blast. His has APR all programs, Koni yellows, Eibach pro kit, Hsport sways, 19 RH RAT wheels, tint, DVs...
Another A6 2.7 on our forum is in Columbia... Another somwehre north of CLT
Some of the guys on the forum are mechanics and are real good, they will help you a lot. Two of them did the 75k service TB/WP for a fellow member for $350! One guy works at BMW Hendrick....
It is a pretty cool group...

Sounds cool. I will see if my GF is off work the day of Thawout. We just got a 335xi in november and it would be nice to have both cars there that day. My A6 is modded with hella tinted tails, kamei grill, 19 ruff racing wheels, h&r sprt springs/bilstein, HID driving and fog lights 8000k. Thats about it for exterior. Did some audio/video work for the interior but nothing yet for the engine. Been thinking about chipping it but then I would prolly have to do something with my clutch and then I would need new DV's and TBB so I'm still debating on it. The 335xi is stock to the bone. GF won't even let me put a light tint on it but its one fast sucker thats for sure. Look forward to meeting you guys out there

where do you live again?
I think I have seen your car before. Maybe on marvin road?

Who took care of yuo at GMP? I know those guys pretty well. They do all my mods, repairs, maintenance... The owner is real cool and Mike the tech is awesome. He also installed my piggy pipes last year and my suspension.

What mods do you have?

I live in the ballantyne area and work uptown Charlotte.
