So I will be ordering the APR chip this week for my 01 2.7 TIP Question I have is what is next item in line that I should purchase. the Bi-pipe or DVs. not sure which is next in line. please help. thank you

 

pick up a pair of DV's. Can either go 710N's which will run you under 100 for both, or get hyperboost, apr, baily's for around 300 for both. You can also order a samco TBB for under 100 instead of speading the 300+ on the bipipe, its up to you.

 

Get those DVs (Get the 710Ns) and TBB upgrades BEFORE you chip. Get 'er done!

well its supposedly bad to do DVs after u chip because when u flash the ecu it will adapt to factory DVs and if your car has mroe then 80k on it most likely one has failed ... i chipped and then did DVs and nothing happened but i installed the DVs about 2 days later ... so its up to you ...

 

ok. well i will probably do DVs as well but will i be ok without the Bi-pipe ? at least for a little while ? car is an 01 2.7t tip with 40k on it

 

Put an ITG/K&N drop in air filter in as well unless you already have an intake. I have seen the factory paper air filter collapsed into the bottom of the air filter box after cars have been chipped.

ah yes i forgot about the air filter ... be weary of an oil filter though because the oils get on the MAF i had to clean my MAF about a week after i installed my awe s-flo intake because of the oil from the filter
