You know, I have not really noticed any drop in gas mileage but then again I'm also not hard on the throttle all the time. I hardly ever change the program back to stock unless I take it in for service so I try to preserve the turbos but driving "normal" as much as I possibly can

Yes, your warranty will be voided if a dealership can link a problem directly to the "chipping" of your ECU - and believe me, once they know, they will try !!!

is it just me or does it seem like no one is hard on the throttle? What is the point of the chip unless you expect to gain good acceleration and power? I chipped mine and i drive mine pretty aggressivly, i mean what is considered agressive? 4500 5k 6k?

I got the APR chip for my 2.7T, and mileage has stayed about the same. Consistently average about 18.5 - 19 mpg. PAy the extra for the lockout feature, and that way you can switch it back to stock before you take it in for service. I have already had my chipped computer replaced under warranty. The chip is encrypted, so they never even questioned it.

NO , the chip wont void it. Just go with APR or GIAC.
And you might lose a little milage because you are going to be driving harder .

I agree with member above my post - Go with GIAC - that is the best. Best HP gains - I have a 2.7T and gained 70hp alone from there chip. And get the GIAC flashloader for $150 ... you can switch between programs - and it's much easier then fooling around with your cruise control stalk (APR style) - APR is good -but for ultimate tuning and power - GIAC in my opinion. I couldn't be happier ! That's all GIAC does is tuning and chips. They are the best at it !

Hope that helps -

How many miles have people put on with their chips installed?
I'm strongly considering a GIAC having it installed by AWE along with DV's...
Any suggestions/opinions....
Appreciate the info...
