Default Clean your headlights?

My headlights are pretty grimy and I want to make them as clear as possible. I tried using rubbing alchohol on them and right when I put it on and wipe it off it looks awesome but then goes right back to grimy, and I realized its the film that the alchohol leaves behind. Then I tried just water, didn't work, and tried armorall wipes and that didn't do much either.

any siggestions to get them clear?

use a really high count sand paper and let it set it water for like 10 minutes then go after the headlight lense with it.. i did this and then i buffed it really good afterwords. and it was much better.

rub on brasso than use a paper towel to "buff" it off, works just like sand paper, basically strips a layer from the top "the yellow junk". It really works, and its instant, I've done it a million times, get brasso at home depot. So people say mothers brass polish is better, but dude its the same stuff.

For sand paper try the a HIGH GRIT paper like a 1000 grit or higher rub and wipe away. I treat all plastics in my car with Plexus then I always add a layer of wax on top for added protection. and remember NEVER spread polish or sand paper in 2 diff directions. GO in one direction (left to right) or (up to down)....same applies with applying and removing waxes polishes. NEVER use a circular motion when doing it by hand.

PS if you use sandpaper MAKE SURE you do it while the headlight is WET. Do not do it to a dry headlight, then when done rinse off and admire your new lights.
