I have owned my car for 4 years now and have vacuumed the pre-filter out many times but never took it out and really saw how dirty it was. It looked clean, but once out, I realized I could only see through 10% of it.

I snapped some pics once I finished cleaning it up.

I also discovered that 7 out of the 16 valve cover gasket bolts were pretty loose. I will never go back to my prior mechanic. Hmm. Hopefully that will solve my leaking valve cover gasket (although they was changed 35k miles ago).
