Hi all:

The digital compass in the rear view mirror on my 2002 A6 is just displaying "C". Does anyone know what that means? I checked the manual and nothing is mentioned about it.
Is there a way to reset or calabrate the compass?

Switch on ignition.

ā€œCā€ must appear on display.



ā€“
If ā€œCā€ does not appear, press a thin object (e.g. ballpoint pen) against the adjuster switch on the underside of the mirror until ā€œCā€ is displayed.

Drive slowly (approx. 10 km/h) 2-3 times in a circle until point of the compass is displayed.

Switch on ignition.



ā€“
Use thin object (e.g. ballpoint pen) to press against adjuster switch on underside of mirror until appropriate zone number is displayed.

Zones are shown on the adjacent map.

Yup, that about covers it...FYI - The "C" stands for "calibrate"

Thanks for the info. It worked. I still can't believe that there is nothing in the manual about the compass.

The reason its not there is because its not supposed to lose calibration.
