Default Control Arms

I have a 96 A6 Avant and think I finally have to replace the control arms. I get a thud when starting fom a stop, turning the wheel and various times in and out of driveway.
Blauparts sells a kit with additional bushings and hardware for around $240. Are their parts good or should I go with a 'brand', MOOG, TRW and just buy the additional bushings & hardware? Blauparts only states they are German made, no brand name.

Whats the AF's opinion?

Thanks.

Go with a brand name. The "German" made ones are made in China. I bought a set, although not from Blauparts. You cannot tell them from Audi parts. Same labeling, same packaging, same color bushings. However, they lasted about a month then started going bad one at a time. The company I bought them from was very good about replacing them one at a time, however the news one last about another month and I have to get an alignment after each one. I replaced the last two with Mahle parts, made in Turkey. I have more going bad now and I will have to see but I suspect the more of the Chinese ones have gone bad. This time I will redo the whole front end with a name brand set. let my bad experience be a lesson.

Go with Febi-Bilstein. I bought OCAP arms which turned out to be complete junk and have replaced one side with Febi's with are running strong. I'll be doing the other side with Febi's soon as well.

Audi Front Control Arm Bushing Kit - A6 1998-02 (V6 Models) -- on SALE $69.95 @ Blauparts?

Why not just replace the bushings?

So far, everything I've bought outta Blauparts ('cept the shocks/struts) has been Meyle, Conti, or Victor-Reinz.. all OEM replacements.

Any guess as to the cost (in NY state) to R & R the bushings in the OEM arms?
