Default Coolant Leak

I just bought a 2000 A6 QUATTRO 2.7T and I am having a coolant leak, I took it to 2 different places and they said nothing was wrong with it. So I am guessing there is a cracked line or something underneath. Has anyone had a problem like this? Or any idea? It leaks pretty bad, I have lost all the coolant twice. So I dunno how they say there is nothing wrong But I am planning on putting it up on the stands today and taking a look at the lines.

its on the driver side mostly, there is a support to the right of the engine (driver side) that has coolant sitting on it so I kinda ruled out engine. But I dunno...

Maybe check the coolant temp sensor. The black ones (OEM) are prone to cracking and leaking. Check and make sure you have the green updated one.

Ok ill check that out. Behind the motor isnt it?

I tried using my Vag Com but I couldnt figure out how to use it. In that time I sat in my car for 10 minutes and there was a big puddle of it and the gauge was one past the medium line and there was steam or smoke coming from around the engine. Not good.

If it looks like its coming from the bell housing, or the intake manifold area its probably your aux water pump. They are prone to failure.

A pressure test would probably find your leak quickly...but the above mentioned areas are good places to look.
