Exclamation Coolant leaking?

So my 96 Audi a6 has been giving me a lot of trouble with leaks lately. My oil has been leaking for quite sometime and now my coolant decided to start as well. I looked under the hood and saw green coolant inside on the top of the oil pan and the brim of the oil pan. i dont know if a gasket needs to be fixed. I was just wondering if anyone knew where the leak could possibly be coming from..any help would be great. Thanks

Is your 96 a 2.8L?
If yes, and by "inside on top of the oil pan" you refer to the valley pan, under the manifold, then you'll have to remove the manifold and replace the O-ring gaskets in the rear of the T-stat and Water Pump housings. You'll probably have to drain the coolant, because you'll remove the rear main pipe from the cyl heads.
It may be a good time to replace those rear O-rings as well even if they don't leak right now.

By the way, do you have genuine coolant mixed with green? Flush that and use at least Zerex G05 if you don't want to spend your money on the expensive Pentosin or VW/Audi coolant.
