Corner Lamp and Interior Lights mystery

Corner Lamp and Interior Lights mystery
98 A6Q 2.8L - 160K
I am losing hair over this one.
My left (driver side) corner lamps won't light - front and rear - but the blinkers work. Also, the interior lights that normally come on when you turn on the park and headlamps are out. However, when I take the lamp control module out, the interior lights come on. Further, the right (passenger) corner lamps stay on. The lamp control module doesn't look like it's connected to the interior lights and I would think that the corner lamps would go out.
I've replaced the lamp control module (4B0 919 471 A) with no luck. All the bulbs are good (switched all bulbs from the driver side to the passenger and the fault is still on the driver side).
I've checked for shorts, and no shorts.
Seen anything like this? Any suggestions? Is my A6 FUBAR?

Look at the fuses-- I believe the left and tight are fused seperately. As for the interior lights - I haven't a clue as mine don't work with the door --I've checked the door switches etc. and they work with the switch at the light..

The lower fuse is the left side and shows a trickle of power which prompted a move upstream. I found that the switch went bad in conjunction with the relay (4b0 919 471) Another $100 fix o top of the $100 lamp control module.
Thanks for the reply.
