Default Cross Spoke Wheels

I have the Audi 17" cross spoke factory wheels on my A6. The wheels have a centerpiece which covers the wheel bolts. I need to take the centerpiece off and I think that it unscrews, however, it is not easy to get a grip and do it by hand.

Is there a special tool, or does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the centerpiece off if it is on too tight? Thanks.

Hi. Is there a pinhole in the cap or a screw? If there is a pinhole, look in your tool kit located in the trunk and there is a small tool similar to a hook used to pull it off. If you don't have one, you can impovise and use a small allen key or some similar stiff piece of wire. If there's a screw head, just check and see what type of fastener is used to secure it in place....Hope this helps and Good Luck!

Are you talking about the 17" BBS wheels? If so you are supposed to need a tool but if you know a friend thats a beast im sure he can unscrew it for you. It took me and my friend 45min to figure out how to get to the bolts and we never felt more retarded when we found out you just have to unscrew it. Get someone with a big hand.
