Default cutting out my resonator an my 4.2. good idea?

has anyone cut out the resonator and run a straight pipe back to the mufflers? I want a deeper tone but don't want to spend a ton on an exhaust Anyone know if it's a good sound or are thier any video's out there? Thanks

I run no muffler or resonator and its a wee bit too loud for most people but i like it.
Taking out the resonator will just increase the DB noise level. It won't change the pitch of the exhaust note, so it will sound the same just louder. Changing the muffler changes the tone.
