I have had several rows of light go out on my display screen and im wondering if i need to buy a whole new display or if there is a fix for the problem.

It seems that most everyone has this problem. I once read a DIY about improving theperformance of the contacts, but I can't remember where. I just bought a sunshade for my car, and it's helped significantly.

 

yeah I read that article to but there was no pic.
that link I have on my post, that will show you 90% of how to take it a part.
another thing is that there is 2 hook that holds the back cover.
then 4 metal that holds teh metal casing around the display.
rest is bit hard. taking the actual LCD a part, Ididn't have the smaler tip on mine so I have to go get it.
and so I had to put everything back. I'll post some pics of getting to there.
