obviously there is no value in knowing how to do it unless you actaully intend to do it.

oh, ok...
I must have been ignorant and smug thinking that you were serious, and failing to think that you can actually have a facetious side.

Thank you all for all the answers. I dont sell cars, i just have my own, and not going to sell it so its not necessary to change readings. If i do anything I will do with my own car. Once again, I just want to know, thats it Anyway thanks

Nah...
...the idea was that Jack, m000035, Gaser and NH got the fact that the guy really wants to fiddle with the odometer, while you were not getting it. Obviously you just joked.
The actual "poking" was in my second post, but obviously some people never apologize for being ********, but that's a different matter altogether.

He dosen't SELL cars - he just wants to change it!

maybe to impress his GF with his low milage Audi
or make the vehicle THINK it is not old.

C'on guys -- the poor guy has an enquiring mind and just wants to know how to do it -

After all it's his vehicle and he's doing it to his own car. No-one will be screwed -- to much.. LOL

My problem?? LOL

I guess I don't like it when people come on here and expect to get instructions on how to do somethong illegal - As in turning back an odometer. That happens to be a federal offense.

You can claim you can do anything you want to because it is your vehicle but the feds think differently about turning back odometers and take it very seriously.

The guys on here told you how to replace the instrument cluster etc. and joked about turning things back. At least twice duruing the duscussion, you made it clear that you intended to turn it back and also said that you just wanted to know how to do it. The last part obviously being crap!

Bottom line -- you wanted us to tell you how to do something illegal and got pissed when we would not. Your the pathetic person that's out to screw someone.
