Difference between a CDJ vs CDP 97 A6
Hi all. Just purchased our second A6, first is a 2001 and mine is a 1997 A6 sedan quattro. I bought it with the transmission not working correctly. If you start out in drive it does not go. If you start out in first gear and shift up it works fine. Once in awhile it will stall in drive and you have to shut it off and restart it.. Any Idea's? Also I am searching for a transmission and have come across a couple of ???? Gave dealer my Vin number and the tranny shows it as a CJD. Also the Mechanic found the tag and it say's CJD. The dealer and almost everyone else says the CJD is for the wagon and the CDP is for the sedan? Anyone else have this issue? Can anyone tell me the difference between the CJD and the CJP? Any hep please.
Thanks,
Bruce

Bruce, why don't you contact a ZF distributor that can enlighten you about the difference?
Or you can e-mail directly Steve.Jaffe-at-zf.com - great guy, very amiable and helpful.
