So, I like to think of my self as a pretty handy person when it comes to cars ect... but i was curious to know how difficult it is to install springs/shocks on a 00 a6 quattro.. any info would be great.. thanks all

 

Aside from a couple special tools its not really that hard. Make sure you know what your doing thou because mistakes with springs can be deadly. You need a spring compressor to compress the springs. You also need an odd socket to remove the nuts for the struts. The hardest part is probably getting the struts in and out.

 

A spring compressor should not be needed if I am replacing the entire shock/spring combo correct. is there a manual or a write up on this that anyone is familiar with?

Usually the springs and shocks dont come together, but if they are together you wouldnt need the spring compressor or the special socket. Check for a writup on audiworld.com.
