I just got my first Audi - 2005 A6 4.2L, and I really need help with the oil/oil filter replacement procedure. I tried looking through a factory repair manual, but .. Anyone know where I can find a DIY with illustrations?

It's pretty straight forward. The oil filter is located near the firewall right behind the intake manifold. See the image below.



Once you remove and change the filter its just like any other oil change. Remove the belly pan, crack open the drain plug, then replace fluids.

FYI, she takes 9.5 quarts of synthetic (0 or 5W/40). Walmart has the 5 quart jugs of Castrol Edge for 21 bucks right now.
