do a switch to get more power?

would it be a good idea to go from a 1995 a6 quattro to a 1994 v8 quattro. I want to because ti have a much more powerful engine but i dont nkow if its a better car all around. Or could I just do an engine swap?

as far as I know the engine bays are not the same sizes. the actual front of the car is shorter on V6 compared to V8...
at least that's on 2000 year A6s
