This is my repost with more info that may be needed 2000 A6 2.7t manual transmission

Hey all my alarm keeps going off after a few minutes of it being armed. The windows are all the way up and the motion sensor is off. So i started locking the door with the key. The driverside latch (inside and out) is hard to open i have to pull on it once or twice. So today i go to lock the car with the key and the black **** that goes up and down wont go all the way down. So when i lock the door with the key and pull ond the handle it still opens. Please any suggestions
I am now in the virgin islands and there are no audi dealers here so i left to my own devices.

This is a long shot but have a look at the door latch, it could be a little sticky. I have a 2000 2.7T and my drivers door handle (both internal and external) stated to get stiff and hard to pull. I got a can of spray grease and lubricated it. I did not have a problem but the handle problem sounds like the one that I had putting two if the door is not work properly then the alarm could go off for no reason.
