Hi all,

First post on the forum and really hoping I can get some info. When the lower part of the centre display (the red part) on the dash of our 2001 (2002MY) A6 Avant stopped working I thought the display had blown but when I open the door/s, the "doors open" diagram is displayed as normal. The top part (yellow) still works as normal so all the error symbols still come up OK but I'm really missing my radio display, trip and outside temp readings.

I've been told I cannot simply swap out the pod as it would need re-coding to the car by an Audi dealer because the immobiliser runs through the dash so it has to be them that does the job (££££££££££££££).

I'm wondering if it is my LCD unit that's broken or maybe (fingers crossed) it could be something else affecting it like a faulty wiper stalk as this has the trip computer switch on it??

Any ideas?
