Default Driver side exterior mirror glass

How difficult is it to replace the glass on the driver side exterior remote controlled mirror ?
Is this a dealer repair only?
How is the glass held in place and how can it be removed (other than with a hammer?)
Car is 2000 A-6

Thank you in advance
Kurt

The glass itself just pulls right out. Turn the mirror all the way in either direction so that you can get your hand behind it and gently "pry" it out. There are connections on the back of it and it's VERY possible for the mirror to crack, so don't get too crazy.

New one just pops right back on.

^^like this, but without breaking the mirror... lol

Non auto dimming run 52.27 or 81.10, dimming run either 142.10 or 210.92, we have all 4 in stock. Plus 10-11 dollars shipping. We'd need your vin# to price out the correct one for your car. Any questions please ask. Thanks, Jeff.
