I haven't a clue as to what your talking about unless it is the fuel injectors.

The only thing to watch out for is injector plugging. A can of injector cleaner in the gas once in a while and changing the fuel filter every year or so is all I have ever done. It seems to work cause I got 350K on one Audi, 180K (and still going) on another, and 140K (still going) on another.

im sorry i should but this down on my file... i went to the shop 2day for my VW Passat and they recommended that i get a "Fuel Induction Service" which blows out all of the carbon etc accumulated in the car. i figure its something i should do on my 2.7T.

below is a DIY from audiworld forums.

That is a typical shop add on to get you to spend $$$$$ on a sounds good scheme.

A can of injector cleaner will do the same thing but take a bit longer. Just add it to a full tank of gas and drive. If things are real dirty do it a couple times - every other tankfull. Other wise don't waste your money... If you really- really- really want to spend money send it to me!

I'd suggest

Lubro-Moly

LM2001 - VALVE CLEAN

LM2007 - JECTRON

LM2030 - PRO-LINE FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER

LM2031 - PRO-LINE FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER CONCENTRATE

VALVE CLEAN, JECTRON work well with 1 gallon of fuel (commercial purge).

There is a lot of info on the net.

Unless you give it a try you will not know how much difference will get.

Keep in mind there are two areas of cleening: injectors and valves/combustion chambers.
