Default Engine noise, 2.7t - fixed twice. still in shop

Hey Guys,

I've been searching and reading this forum for a long time. This will be my first post. I have an issue that I need some help with.

My motor started getting a loud ticking sound from the front of the car. (thought maybe the lifters as other threads read, but the the sound is definetly in the front) Took to an audi mechanic and they took the front end off and started working. (I have receipts from where this shop did the timing belt at 113,000 miles - now at 125,000) they said it was the tensioner. got the car back and had the same noise. they took apart again and said hydraulic damper colapsed. they fixed it again. same noise came back. Took it back today and they will be working on it monday.

weird thing is when I picked it up the sound was gone, after driving it 30 miles, it came back.

They have replace in the last 12,000 miles - water pump, tensior, timing belt, aux. water pump, damper, roller.

What's left that could be causing this?

Any help would be appriciated.

Jonathan
